Ocean View Residence is a resort stands on the beach well known as Tegal Sambi Beach located in Jepara, Central Java. This resort serves room with excellence International standard and beach side view, also for the restaurant with excellent flavour. Based on this I realised that the quality of the resort is not balanced with the promotion objects such as brochure, logo, signage, etc. In this case, I found this as a problem that need to be solved.
First of all I see that the old logo is not showing the residence itself. Once you see the logo, you will see it as cheap, not elegant. For rebranding this resort, I try to find the history of the resort, the purpose, the facility, find the consumer journey, and find the SWOT of the resort. By finding this, I start visualizing the summary of data that I found and gathered. I found that the resort want to have “ocean”look to the logo they have. I found that the resort want to show that they are modern therefor they located in a very small village with one car access. The resort wants to be a location for short getaway or just a location for people stopping by and having a great sunset view dinner. Seeing the price of the resort which is not cheap, I try to visualize the logo eleganty-ly. I choose the blue color pallete and avant-garde font, modifying the “e” letter to look more”ocean” just like the wave and creating the logogram which meaningful. The logogram means that they have unity to serve the best. They have four main facility that they offer, Hotels, Resort, Coffee Shop, and Restaurant that united as one residence, Ocean View Residence. A simple and deep meaning logo tried to be shown to audience by visualized as this new logo of Ocean View Residence.
